Eight warming stations now open in Athol

ATHOL – With recent temperatures falling into the single digits and not expected to rise above the mid-20s over the next few days, arrangements have been made for people who may need a place to stay warm.
A total of eight warming centers have been set up at several locations throughout Athol. These include the following:
Athol Council on Aging – 82 Freedom St., 978-249-8986, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Athol Public Library – 568 Main St., 978-249-9515, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce – 80 Freedom St., 978-249-3849, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Salvation Army – 107 Ridge Ave., 978-249-8111, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
North Quabbin Community Coalition – 251 Exchange St., 978-249-3703, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
North Quabbin Recovery Center – 416 Main St., 978-249-4989, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
