Natalie Lanoue scored 14 points and Bella Pettengill added 11 points, allowing the Mohawk Trail girls basketball team to pull away with a 50-35 Franklin County League South win over Athol in Athol on Monday.
Rachel Pease finished with 10 points, Valerie Bzomowski scored seven points, Riley Giard tallied six points while Abi Dobias scored two points in the victory for the Warriors.
Jenna Bonenfant finished with 15 points and five blocks, Abby Lutz tallied nine points, Anna Duquette scored five points while Olivia Horrigan, Ally Robertson and Abby Spooner each scored two points for Athol.
Greenfield 56, Hopkins 27 — Amber Bergeron finished with a game-high 29 points as the Green Wave cruised to a Franklin County League North win over the Golden Hawks in Hadley on Monday.
Tayler Bergeron finished with 13 points, Anna Bucala scored eight points, Carly Blanchard finished with four points while Gloria McDonald scored two points in the victory.
Pioneer 38, Putnam 31 — The Panthers held the Beavers to a mere 17 points through three quarters, helping them earn a Franklin County League South victory in Northfield on Monday.
Addie Harrington and Hailey Ring both scored 12 points for Pioneer. Kyler McClelland scored six points, Natalie Rios finished with five points and Leah Potter knocked down a 3 for Pioneer.
Franklin Tech 52, Ware 25 — Lea Chapman’s 19 points and seven rebounds helped propel the Eagles to a Franklin County League South win over Ware in Turners on Monday.

Boys basketball
Mahar 78, Quaboag 35 — The Senators put together a full 32-minute effort on Saturday against Quaboag, building a 38-23 halftime lead before holding the Cougars to just 12 points in the second half to pull away with an independent victory in Orange.
“That’s as well as we’ve played in a few years,” Mahar coach Chad Softic said. “Our tempo, composure and basketball IQ — which has hurt us at times — was spot on. That’s a very good Quaboag team that we beat today and one that handed us our lunch last year. I’m really proud of the way we prepared for this one and how we responded.”
Marshall Ames tossed in 20 points while pulling down seven rebounds for the Senators (7-1). Jayden Delgado scored 12 points while adding six rebounds and two assists, Derek Collins scored 12 points and snatched five rebounds, Will Barnes recorded a 10 points, 10 rebound double-double, Daniel Finch scored seven points while Morgan Softic had six points and four assists and Lucas Isrow finished with four points, six assists and six steals in the victory.

Northbridge 48, Franklin Tech 28
Tri-County 66, Franklin Tech 18 — Landon Purington (132), Travis Eastman (165) and Jackson Morey (175) secured wins for the Eagles in a loss to Northbridge in a meet at Tri-County Regional on Saturday.
Against Tri-County, Carsten Couture (120) and Purington (132) earned wins as Franklin Tech fell to the hosts. Maxon Brunette, Connor Herzig, Wyatt Whitman, Madix Whitman, Jacob Martin, Cameron May, Kahlil Mateus, Izaya Romer, Collin Eddy, Owen Blanchard and Seamus Collins also competed for the Eagles.
Tri-County 58, Mahar 22 — Ashe r Williams (106), Elias Roberts (132), Sayyid Roberts (150) and Tristen Gaj (157) earned wins for the Senators in a loss to Tri-County on Saturday.
Lucas Briand, Cody Preisch, Joshua Mazza, Colby Chiasson, Dante Dowler, Riley Murphy, Khalil Roberts and Leighton Soucie also wrestled for Mahar.
■ The Frontier wrestling team competed in the Keene Varsity Tournament on Saturday, with Jocelyn Antes picking up a pair of wins before falling in the finals at 120 in the women’s division. It was the first finals appearance in her career.
Javion Cabrera won four matches at 285 to place fifth overall while Ber Calhoun won a pair of matches at 106 for the Redhawks.
