Bulletin Board: Ginger Cat Sealcoating wins GMLB AA championship

The Greenfield Minor League Baseball AA Championship series wrapped up on Tuesday, with Ginger Cat Sealcoating winning the title via a 9-3 victory over Gagne Wealth Management at Lunt Field.
Kydanie Rivera, Zach Bensen, Silas Cousineau, Wesley Lehman, Bertie Watson, Wyatt Lapine, Rodney Behan, Abrahm Walker, Parker Clough-Campagna and Natalie Belville comprised the Ginger Cat squad that won the championship.
Fox Dube knocked three hits, Wes Goodnow tripled and Calvin Krezmien added two hits for Gagne.
Franklin Tech Summer League
Pioneer 36, Franklin Tech 21 — Kyler McClelland scored 11 points, Maggie Tsipenyuk tallied 10 points, Deveney Pillsbury scored five points while Jacobia Tyminski and Jaelyn Boliski each scored four points in Pioneer’s victory over Franklin Tech in a Franklin Tech Girls Summer Basketball League contest Tuesday.
Brayleigh Burgh scored nine points, Alison George tallied six points, Ariel Peters had four points and Sophia Jagodzinski added two points for the Eagles.
Ware 28, Hopkins 21 — Amelia Orszulak led the way with 12 points in Ware’s triumph over Hopkins on Tuesday. Olivia Earle tallied 10 points while Reese MacGregor added five points for the Golden Hawks.
Keene 84, Athol 24 — Harper Zalaski tallied 26 points and Payotn Margaitis added 21 points in Keene’s win over the Bears Tuesday.

Nancy Robie, Barry Dow, Randall Bernard and Sally Bernard tied with the foursome of John Johnson, Gordon Parker, Barb Killeen and Anne Corrinet for second (32).
In the Nine Hole Women’s League at CCG on Tuesday, Elaine Goodhind (37) and Nancy Robie (39) carded the low scores in the Patty Berg Flight.
TC Emerson (43) and Ellen Bitzer (46) led the Nancy Lopez Flight, Betty Graves won the Lorena Ochoa Flight (45), Julie Beres (49) and Kim French (52) led the Annika Sorenstam Flight while Barb Morris (52) and Alexis Dimitriou (55) had the high scores in the Michelle Wie Flight.

Liberty Tax Sharks 35, Gremlins 2 — Heather Gibson cracked four hits including a double, Trevor Thomas had four hits including a double and a home run while driving in seven, Jermey Thomas singled twice, doubled and drove in three while Ray Sylvester had three hits and three RBIs in the Sharks’ victory Tuesday.
Devon Shover, Anna Lashway and Kris Quiles-Santiago each had two hits for the Gremlins.
Montague soccer shoot
The Montague Elks is hosting a soccer shoot on August 23 at Franklin County Technical School. The rain date is set for August 30.
The shoot is open to boys and girls age 15 and younger. Registration starts at 9 a.m. the day of the shoot, with the competition beginning at 10 a.m. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate, baptismal record or passport to verify age. The winner of each contest will advance to the next level of the competition.
